Gavin Mosier is a scenic designer and art director working in theatre, film, and environmental design. He was born and raised in the small town of Auburn, IN and received his B.S. degree in Theatrical Design and Technology from Ball State University's Department of Theatre & Dance.
While at Ball State, Gavin worked on a variety of productions in a variety of capacities. Productions of note would be his scenic design work for The Great God Pan and Anna in the Tropics. In the Spring of 2017, he had the honor of representing Ball State at the National Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in Washington D.C. with his design work from The Great God Pan. At the conclusion of the week-long residency at the National KCACTF, he was awarded the National Award for Design Excellence in Scenic Design.
After graduating from Ball State, Gavin went on to work for Disney Parks Live Entertainment as a Technical Direction Intern. While on this internship he worked on a variety of projects including the Wheel of Fortune Production Filming (2017), The Chew Production Filming (2017), Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade Filming (2017), and many more entertainment projects that support Disney Parks worldwide. At the conclusion of his internship, he moved on to be an Entertainment Technician at Disney's Hollywood Studios working in props, droid maintenance, and entertainment show quality. In the Fall of 2019, Gavin transferred into the Disney Parks Live Entertainment CAD Department as a CAD Planner, which supports all entertainment departments and projects for Disney Parks around the globe.
In addition to working at Disney, Gavin works on various projects around Central Florida. Anything from theatrical design at Mad Cow Theatre (Orlando, FL) to film shoots in St. Petersberg, FL. He is always looking forward to the next collaboration.
When not designing, Gavin enjoys adventures with his wife Kaitlyn, flipping the vinyl over on the turntable, rummaging through antique shops, trying a new coffee (or bourbon), and spending quality time with dear friends and family.
